Small panic a few hours after cutting the sun. Is it on the wrong side of the tree? No. Nor would it matter, the sun was probably nestled in the other branches from a different viewpoint.

The photograph of the drawing looks different, the camera sees the separate crayon lines in the shadows.
I’m using my teenage self’s methods that anyone would have expected to have improved by now. Good to see it from a different perspective before tidying it up.
Water drop coaster
There was a crochet pattern in a recent Water Aid magazine that arrived in the post. The picture looked like a white christmas tree. I wondered if the water drop would work as a knitted illusion. If I’d used the right size needles it might have looked better.
Footprints
Test prints aren’t looking right, maybe they need some tweaking.
Editing light
Trying to rescue a print that had been overcut. The light gradually moved across the paper while I was colouring…
Shadows
I was watching Jack’s shadow walking in a meadow when the rest of us were all over the pavement. It took a while to get some photos, passing traffic kept hiding the subject.
Making test prints on the hottest day of the year isn’t a good idea. I wanted to know if the little dots looked like a road surface, so I began inking quite early. This hasn’t captured the idea I saw while walking, but it’s OK.
Multitasking
There are many tasks to do today but I knitted instead. The project will become too big for three needles so I’ve added more. They’re slightly bent from being stuck under a heavy item for too long. They still function well.
